How Fashion Days Achieved Over 13% ROAS Growth with Catalog Product Videos

The challenge

Fashion Days recognized the growing importance of video ad formats to capture audience attention. With the rising popularity of video content, like Facebook or Instagram’s Reels, the team wanted to explore whether combining catalog product videos (CPV) with their dynamic ads would outperform their traditional approach.

The hypothesis was clear: bundling catalog ads with CPV would lead to an uplift in ROAS.

The team’s challenge was to design a suitable CPV template using ROI Hunter Video Template Editor and execute a test campaign that could reliably measure the impact of this new strategy compared to their Business-as-Usual (BAU) approach.

The Solution

To bring their vision to life, Fashion Days turned to ROI Hunter’s Video Template Editor. This powerful tool enabled the team to efficiently create high-quality video templates for their top-performing products.

Using these templates, the team generated engaging catalog product videos for their top 1,000 SKUs in terms of Impressions. On top of 1:1 format for carousel, these videos were also optimized for a 9:16 Reels format to maximize their impact on Meta’s platforms.

The test campaign was divided into two cells:

  1. BAU Cell 1:

    • Ad 1: Carousel catalog ad featuring all products and ad variants, including collections.
  2. Treatment Cell 2:

    • Ad 1: Carousel catalog ad featuring all products.
    • Ad 2: All Products Ad with Catalog Product Video (CPV):
      • 70% of impressions were allocated to videos.
      • 30% of impressions used static images in a 9:16 template.

This test design allowed the team to compare the performance of the traditional carousel catalog ads against the innovative CPV-enhanced approach.

The Results

The results of the campaign highlighted the effectiveness of combining CPVs with carousel catalog ads:

  • +13.15% Meta ROAS (7 days after click attribution)
  • +9.4% Google Analytics ROAS (last click attribution)
  • -3.3% Cost per Purchase
