At ROI Hunter we, just like everybody else, process personal data of our clients and business partners. Personal data is processed to the extent necessary for the provision of our services and according to the relevant legislation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR) and other applicable personal data protection laws). We are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors of our website, and our customers (hence also referred to as “Data Subjects”).
This Privacy Policy describes how we process personal data (information that can be used to directly or indirectly identify a Data Subject). It also lists Data Subjects’ choices regarding their rights such as access to their personal data or removal of such data.
1. Personal Data we collect and legal grounds
Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR):
We automatically collect data from visitors to our web pages based on their browsing activity. This data is processed solely for analyzing the effectiveness of our website and identifying potential improvements, allowing us to provide better service to our visitors and clients.
Consent (Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR):
To obtain more detailed statistics and better understand our visitors’ preferences for improving our services and targeting our marketing efforts, we may collect a broader range of data about their browsing activity. However, this data is collected only after obtaining the visitor's consent. Additionally, we use cookies for these purposes. Visitors may contact us or request newsletters through forms on our website. The data provided in these forms will be used solely to respond to inquiries or send newsletters. This processing is based on the data subject's consent.
Contract Processing (Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR):
We also collect and process data provided directly by visitors or prospects during the process of becoming our clients. This data typically includes the names of representatives, phone numbers, work email addresses, and details regarding their ad campaigns, such as monthly spend on relevant channels (note: this last item is not personal information but is necessary for our services). Processing this data is essential for entering into a contract with the visitor or prospect.
From our clients, we collect additional data related to their activity inside the ROI Hunter platform. This data is processed following Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR and the ROI Hunter Terms and Conditions, which our clients have accepted. Such logs mainly do not contain personal data or any data related to the clients' customers. The only exceptions are the names and work emails of our users, which we process for operational reasons in case of problems with the service.
2. Data Security and Sensitivity
None of the personal data processed under circumstances specified above fall under the category of sensitive data (special categories of personal data) as defined by GDPR. All collected data is securely stored behind firewalls and, where applicable, encrypted. We have implemented multiple organizational and technical measures to ensure data security.
3. Disclosure of Personal Data
For the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, Personal Data may be disclosed, when necessary, to authorities, other companies within the ROI Hunter group, companies which the group cooperates with and to other third parties. An example of such disclosure is disclosing a client's email to Meta when the client is signing up into the ROI Hunter platform (as we need to connect accounts in ROI Hunter to the client’s Facebook account).
Personal Data may be transferred outside the European Union and the European Economic Area (“EU/EEA”), including but not limited to, the United States of America, , United Arab Emirates, as well as other locations and jurisdictions in which we conduct our business. Such transfers outside the EU/EEA are performed subject to appropriate safeguards such as standard data protection clauses adopted or otherwise approved by the EU Commission in accordance with the GDPR.
4. Retention Period
We strive to retain Data Subjects’ data only for the period we need them. If a client decides to stop working with us, we will only retain the client’s data inside the ROI Hunter platform for 30 days . Logs about clients’ activities are automatically deleted in the same way - within 30 days after the termination of mutual cooperation.. If the processing of personal data is based on consent, we may process the data until the consent is withdrawn.
5. Data Subject's Rights
Data Subject has a right to request from us:
- access to and rectification or erasure of Data Subject’s Personal Data
- for restriction of processing concerning the Data Subject or to object to processing
- to receive, under certain preconditions, Data Subject’s Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller
Data Subject may exercise the aforementioned rights by contacting our Customer Support or Sales Representative. We shall endeavor to comply with legitimate requests by Data Subjects as quickly as possible.
